Winterlude 2011

This past weekend we took a two day trip to our nations capitol, Ottawa, ON. For the past 33 years they have a winter festival called Winterlude, they put on a lot of different activities aimed at family fun in the snow. We spent the majority of our time at Confederations Park where all of the ice sculptures were located, here are a some of the ones we were able to see and get decent shots of:

While on a walk, we came across a friend of ours and her 1 yr old min pin, that just so happens to look just like our min pin. We spent the rest of walk w/ them and ended up at the park near our place w/ a stick tossing it around and letting the dogs chase it down. I had a moment to snap off three shots of them sitting just under me as I held the stick over my head, if you know min pins they won't sit still for very long. To say the least it was quite amusing. The other night my wife and I decided to take on something new to do in the dark. We grabbed our mini LED flashlight and got to writing notes in the dark. Here is one that I retouched a little by adding some color. Enjoi

Took a visit to Quebec City and opted to do a city tour just to see what is awesome there. We were taken to  this little Cabane Sucre called Chez Marie, and inside there were these panels of different buttons that have been collected for many many years. It was a interesting to see so many different buttons from so many different places.
